Type: Oversized heavy-duty folding quad chair | Brand: Coleman Identifiers: 600 lb capacity; 24 in seat width; 19 in seat height; big-and-tall flagship Lineup note: Coleman's answer for bigger campers — double the capacity of the standard Oversized Quad Chair at a similar price. Version Lineage (2023–2026)

• 2023–2024: Big-N-Tall Quad in lineup; 600 lb rating the headline spec.
• 2025–2026: Current SKU; Camping World showed $24.97 clearance against a $62.99 reference price (2026) — suggesting possible model-year turnover; current MSRP UNVERIFIED.

Overview

The Big-N-Tall Quad is Coleman's heavy-duty quad chair: a genuine 600 lb weight rating, 24-inch-wide seat, 19-inch seat height (real-chair height), large feet that don't sink as fast, a seat drain for rain, side pocket, cup holder, and carry bag. It's the chair for campers the standard 325 lb quad chairs don't serve — at a price that undercuts every specialty big-and-tall competitor.

Support & Parts

• Coleman consumer support; parts availability is minimal — at this price the chair is effectively replaceable, though the frame usually outlasts the fabric.

Community Verdict

Amazon's large review base rates it highly for its mission: bigger campers finally getting a chair that doesn't feel precarious. The 19-inch seat height is a genuine accessibility win. Complaints cluster around the carry bag (tight fit, a universal quad-chair gripe) and the weight for longer carries.

Long-Term Durability & Warranty-Claim Reality

Steel frame handles the 600 lb rating honestly in owner reports; the fabric is the wear item. Coleman's 1-year warranty is basic — claims are handled but slow, per community reports. Realistic lifespan: many seasons of regular use; UV degrades the polyester over years.

Year-by-Year Version History

• 2023–2026: Continuous SKU; weight listings vary by retailer/generation (8.8–10.6 lb) suggesting minor revisions or listing errors — unresolved.
• 2026: Clearance pricing at Camping World hints at possible model-year change; watch for a renamed successor.

Head-to-Head vs Catalog Rivals

• vs Coleman Oversized Quad Chair: The standard quad is cheaper, lighter, and roomy — but rated 325 lb. If you're under that, save money and weight; if not, the Big-N-Tall is the only Coleman option.
• vs ALPS Mountaineering King Kong: King Kong (800 lb) is the premium big-and-tall armchair — sturdier feel, much heavier and pricier. The Coleman is the value play.
• vs Kijaro Dual Lock Chair: Kijaro is the easier-carry everyday chair (300 lb); the Coleman is the capacity king. Different buyers.

Care & Maintenance

• Hose off; dry before bagging to prevent mildew.
• Check frame rivets seasonally; don't exceed the rating even though it's generous.
• The seat drain helps after rain — still tip it to fully dry.

Buying Traps

• Weight is UNVERIFIED (8.8–10.6 lb): Don't plan a long carry around a specific number.
• Clearance ≠ discontinued guarantee: The $24.97 Camping World price may be store-specific; don't assume universal deals.
• Bag-chair physics: Even at 600 lb rated, quad chairs are tippy for sleepers — it's a sitting chair, not a lounger.

Additional Community Voices

• Big-and-tall camping communities name it among the few sub-$65 chairs they trust — the price-to-rating ratio is the story.
• Amazon reviewers repeatedly cite the seat height as the reason they can use it when lower chairs are painful.
