How this was researched
Every product in the library was researched in September 2026 with a social-first method: owner and camper discussion on forums, groups and communities came before manufacturer pages and retailers. Each dossier records specs, dated prices, community verdicts, failure modes and traps. Each item also carries an honest, human-voiced review.
Honesty rules
- UNVERIFIED means unverified. Claims that couldn't be confirmed are flagged inline — never smoothed over.
- Prices move. Every price carries an observation date (September 2026). Re-verify live before buying.
- Recalls and conflicts are disclosed — e.g. the May 2025 CPSC recall of Deuter Kid Comfort carriers, and warranty conflicts where sources disagree.
- No invented experience. Nothing here claims firsthand ownership that didn't happen; community evidence is attributed, not performed.
