Version Lineage (2023–2026)
- The Coleman 2 oz biodegradable soap bottle (USA part 2000006261) is a long-standing product: 2 oz bottle, all-purpose cleaner safe for hands, face, hair, clothing, and dishes; works in all water temperatures and salt water; made in the USA.
- 2026 status: major retailers show limited or no stock; third-party/outdoor closeout sellers (OpticsPlanet, CampingComfortably, USAGunSupply) carry the listings, with OpticsPlanet's page now steering to "available replacements." Treat as possibly discontinued or distribution-limited — availability is UNVERIFIED at major retailers.
Overview

Community Verdict (qualitative)
The 2 oz Coleman soap is a nostalgic staple — the bottle many campers carried for decades before the current wave of concentrated soaps. Where still found, it is bought for the tiny bottle and the multi-use formula. No sampled consensus in this pass.
Care
- Keep the cap tight; the small bottle leaks if crushed in a pack — store in a zip bag.
- As with all soaps: use 200 ft from water sources.
Buying Traps
- Availability: This may be discontinued or limited to closeout channels — verify the seller and expiration/freshness before buying old stock.
- "Biodegradable" ≠ drain-safe in the backcountry: Still keep all soap 200 ft from lakes and streams.
- Sheets vs liquid: The Camp Soap Sheets are the currently-well-stocked Coleman option; choose the liquid only if you specifically want it.
Additional Voices
- No direct owner quotes were retrievable in this pass.
Spec Gap-Fill
- UNVERIFIED: current major-retailer availability; official MSRP; full ingredient list; whether the product is formally discontinued.
Comparisons
coleman-camp-soap-sheets(this round): Same brand, dry format — the sheets are the currently available, TSA-proof, leak-proof option; the liquid is the legacy format with uncertain availability.campsuds-concentrated-soap(existing): CampSuds is the currently-stocked concentrated liquid standard; choose it over hunting closeout Coleman liquid.dr-bronners-pure-castile-soap(existing): Dr. Bronner's is the widely available multi-use liquid; the Coleman 2 oz was its smaller, simpler predecessor.
