Published · Researched 2026-09-21

2026 lineup note / correction disclosure: The track brief listed this candidate as "Triumph 2-in-1 ladder/bocce." Verification established that no such product exists — the real product is the Triumph Tournament 2-in-1 Bag Toss and Ladder Toss, model 35-7290-2 (bag toss + ladder toss, not bocce). This dossier covers the verified product. The correction is logged in tables/games-r3-notes.md.

Version lineage (2023–2026)

• Pre-2023: Triumph (Escalade Sports) sells combo game sets; the 2-in-1 bag toss + ladder toss established as the variety pick.
• 2023–2024: Model 35-7290-2 widely available; street pricing in the ~$70–90 band (retailer-dependent).
• 2025–2026: Continued; current price/availability UNVERIFIED this pass — verify live before publishing.

Overview

Two games, one box: a pair of 35.4 × 23.6-inch bag-toss boards (eight 6 × 6-inch bags) plus two PVC ladder-toss frames (six bolas) — the combo set for groups that can't agree on one game. The bag toss is the smaller-format board game (not full 4×2 regulation — it's the tailgate size class); the ladder toss is the classic bola-throwing game. At ~21.6 lbs it's the heaviest single item in this round's lineup, but it's also two complete games, which changes the weight math. Camp fit: basecamp only, and it's the right call for the "we need options" group — the variety keeps a big group entertained longer than any single game.

Support & Parts

Escalade Sports (Evansville, IN) — replacement bags and bolas via escaladesports.com; PVC ladder parts are standard plumbing-size (repairable with hardware-store parts in a pinch).

Community Verdict

Combo sets get a consistent community verdict: the variety is the value, but each game is a half-step below the dedicated version — the boards are smaller than regulation, the ladders are PVC rather than the nicer wood/metal sets. For camp use, though, that critique mostly misses the point: nobody at a campsite is running a regulation bracket, and two games in one 21.6-lb box beats one game for a mixed group. The Triumph name carries the Escalade distribution (parts availability), which matters more than the brand on the box. Buy it for the group that argues about which game to bring — this ends the argument.
