Version Lineage (2023–2026)
- 2023: Sold as Kingdom Cot 3 ($199); legacy REI page lists 17 lb 8 oz while older reviews cite 20 lb — weight conflict dates to this era.
- 2024–2025: Renamed Wonderland Comfort Cot; price moved to ~$250.
- 2026: Current SKU under Wonderland name.
Overview
The Wonderland Comfort Cot is less a cot and more a portable bed: a sturdy folding frame with a thick built-in plush pad and a multi-position backrest for reading. Owners (The Inertia, Territory Supply coverage) describe genuinely bed-like sleep. The price is an enormous packed size (33×32×8.5 in) and ~18–20 lb — this is a car-camping throne, not a portable cot.

Community Verdict
Comfort reviews are glowing — The Inertia and Territory Supply both emphasize how bed-like it sleeps, and the backrest is beloved by readers. The universal caveat is the packed bulk: owners joke it needs its own seat in the car. It's the pick for basecampers, guest-room duty, and anyone whose back demands a real bed.
Long-Term Durability & Warranty-Claim Reality
The frame is overbuilt for the rating; the pad is the long-term question — compression over years is inevitable but slow. REI's 1-year return covers early defects. Realistic lifespan: many years of seasonal use.
Year-by-Year Version History
- 2023: Kingdom Cot 3 at $199; weight listed inconsistently (17 lb 8 oz vs 20 lb).
- 2024: Renamed Wonderland Comfort Cot; price ~$250.
- 2025–2026: Current SKU under new name.
Head-to-Head vs Catalog Rivals
- vs Coleman Trailhead II Cot: The Coleman is the simple, cheap, packable cot; the Wonderland is the luxury upgrade — 3× the price, far more comfort, far more bulk.
- vs TETON Sports Outfitter XXL Cot: The TETON is the heavy-duty 600 lb workhorse; the REI is the comfort pick with the built-in pad and backrest.
- vs Helinox Cot One Convertible: Opposite missions — the Helinox goes in a backpack; the Wonderland goes in a truck bed.
Care & Maintenance
- Air out the pad after trips; spot-clean.
- Check frame pivots seasonally; store dry and uncompressed if space allows.
Buying Traps
- The rename: "Kingdom Cot 3" reviews are this same cot — useful history, but verify you're buying the current Wonderland SKU for warranty purposes.
- Packed size is enormous: 33×32×8.5 in — measure your vehicle before buying.
- Weight is UNVERIFIED (17.5 vs 20 lb) — either way, it's a two-hand carry.
Additional Community Voices
- The Inertia: praised the plushness as genuinely bed-like.
- Territory Supply: highlighted the backrest as the differentiator for camp reading/lounging.
Key Specs Gap-Fill
- Weight: UNVERIFIED — 17 lb 8 oz vs 20 lb conflict across REI's own legacy page and reviews.
- Pad thickness not published — UNVERIFIED.
