Overview
The Café Table is Helinox's answer to the complaint that camp tables are either heavy or knee-height: a 27-inch-tall, 23.5-inch-square table on a DAC frame with a high-pressure laminate top that tolerates brief 356°F contact — you can set a hot pot down without panic. It packs flat (3.5 in thick) at ~6.9 lb packed. It's the table for campers who want to eat, work, and play cards at real height without carrying real furniture.

Community Verdict
A niche-but-beloved product: owners who've paid the $250 describe it as the last camp table they'll buy — the height is the killer feature (no more hunching), and the heat-tolerant top removes the trivet anxiety. The price is the entire debate; nobody disputes the quality.
Long-Term Durability & Warranty-Claim Reality
DAC frame + laminate top is a durable combination — the top resists scratches and heat far better than fabric-top tables. Helinox's 5-year warranty is honored well. Realistic lifespan: a decade of regular use; the carry case zipper is the most likely first failure.
Year-by-Year Version History
- 2023–2026: Continuous SKU; $249.95 MSRP; no documented redesign.
Head-to-Head vs Catalog Rivals
- vs Helinox Table One: The Table One is the ultralight side table (lower, smaller, lighter); the Café Table is the full-height dining/work table — different jobs.
- vs NEMO Moonlander Dual-Height Table: The Moonlander adjusts height and packs smaller; the Café Table is sturdier at full dining height with a heat-proof top.
- vs GCI Outdoor Compact Camp Table 25: The GCI is the $65 value square table (heavier, simpler); the Café Table is the 3–4× priced ultralight premium option.
Care & Maintenance
- Wipe the laminate top with damp cloth; avoid abrasive pads.
- Dry frame before packing; check shock cord annually.
- The 356°F tolerance is brief-contact — don't use it as a trivet replacement for sustained heat.
Buying Traps
- $249.95 is real: This is a luxury table — make sure you want full-height dining before paying 4× the GCI.
- 23.5 in square: It's a personal/small-group table, not a family dining table — check size against your party.
- 110 lb capacity: Generous for a table this light, but it's not a bench — don't sit on it.
Additional Community Voices
- Vanlife and overland communities rate it highly as a permanent-rig table — the flat pack and height win in small spaces.
- Card-game and camp-office users cite the stable, hard top as the advantage over fabric tables.
Key Specs Gap-Fill
- None major; specs well documented.
